About the Workshop
Computational biology is transforming how we understand life, from decoding genomes to modeling ecosystems and discovering new therapies. This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental algorithms and data structures that underpin modern computational biology.
Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience with problems in sequence analysis, gene regulation, structural biology, systems biology, and more.
What You’ll Learn
Each session includes fun, interactive lessons and coding labs. You’ll explore:
- How to read and compare DNA sequences
- What makes genes similar across different species
- How computer programs can find patterns in biological data
- Intro to bioinformatics and genetic research
- Real-life problems scientists are solving right now
No experience in biology or coding? No problem! We’ll start with the basics and build from there.
