Biology, BS or BA
The biology program at UT Dallas prepares students for careers in science, health and research. The degrees emphasize the unifying molecular and cellular nature of living organisms. Students with a BS degree have gained acceptance to the top PhD or combined MD/PhD programs in the country. The BA degree is a liberal arts biology major with less emphasis on calculus and more free hours for coursework in other disciplines. Fact Sheet
Biomedical Sciences, BS
The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences provides students with a solid foundation in biology, chemistry, and physics, preparing them for careers in healthcare, biotechnology, and research. Through courses in human anatomy, microbiology, biochemistry, and data analytics, students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience.
The program offers two tracks for specialization: Professional Track and Data Analytics Track, allowing students to tailor their education to their career goals. This biomedical degree opens doors to medical, dental, and other health-related professional schools, graduate schools, as well as careers in biomedical research, public health, and the pharmaceutical industry.
Molecular Biology, BS
The molecular biology program combines elements of biochemistry, biophysics, genetics and cell biology. Molecular biology requires a background in disciplines such as chemistry, mathematics, physics and computer sciences. Prospective students should have a broad interest in the sciences. Fact Sheet

The UTeach Dallas option may be added to either the BA or BS degree. UTeach Dallas degree plans are streamlined to allow students to complete both a rigorous bachelor’s degree and all coursework for middle or high school teacher certification in four years.
